Why e-invoices need a viewer

Across Europe, structured e-invoices are replacing PDF invoices. In Poland, invoices are issued through the national KSeF system from 2026. In Germany, every business must be able to receive e-invoices since 1 January 2025, and Belgium switched to Peppol e-invoicing on 1 January 2026.

An e-invoice is a data file in XML format, not a document you can simply open and read. Without accounting software it looks like a wall of code. eInvoiceTool turns it into a normal-looking invoice in seconds – with seller, buyer, line items, VAT and the amount due.

How it works

  1. Choose your file. Drag the XML or PDF invoice into the box, or click to select it.
  2. Read the invoice. Seller, buyer, items, VAT and totals appear as a normal invoice.
  3. Print or save. Save a PDF copy for your records or print it directly.

Supported formats

  • KSeF FA(3) and FA(2) – structured invoices from the Polish National e-Invoice System
  • XRechnung 2.x and 3.x in UBL and CII syntax – the German e-invoice standard
  • ZUGFeRD 2.x / Factur-X – hybrid PDF invoices from Germany and France, all profiles, as PDF or XML
  • Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 and other UBL invoices following the European standard EN 16931

Frequently asked questions

Is the viewer really free?

Yes. You can open as many invoices as you like, without an account.

Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read only in your browser and is never sent to a server. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded.

Can I create or validate e-invoices here?

Not yet. The viewer shows the content of an e-invoice. A validator and an e-invoice creator are in preparation.

Is the printed view a valid invoice?

The legally relevant invoice is the e-invoice file itself, so always keep the original XML or PDF. The printed view is a readable copy – for approval, filing or sharing with colleagues.

This tool shows the content of an e-invoice in readable form. It does not check whether the invoice is legally correct and is not tax advice.
